Baltimore is an all around better team then the Cleveland Browns. So that means that the Eagles need to be clicking in every aspect of the game tomorrow. Especially on offense. The defense played solid but will be playing a better and more experienced Ravens offense, which wasn’t the case last week in Cleveland. I think the Eagles defense will do it’s job.
Like most of everyone else, it’s the Eagles offense that I’m worried about. It doesn’t take a genius to know that the Ravens defense is like night and day compared to last weeks Browns defense that gave the Eagles fits. Mike Vick can say he plays with passion and everything else all he wants. I don’t want talk. I want action. Play smarter. Balance the play calling out. 56 pass attempts is too much. I would love to know the Eagles record when the Eagles decide to go pass heavy 50 times or more per game. So please, if you have that answer let me know.
It all comes down to Mike Vick tomorrow. He needs to be smart with the ball and avoid turnovers. And for god sakes SLIDE! Ray Lewis and company are a physical group. They will be ready to get after Vick and whoever else has the ball in green. The offensive line needs to step it up. Especially Dunlap. Maclin and Jackson need to be healthy. And McCoy needs to carry the ball more. If any of this don’t happen then it will be a long afternoon at The Linc.
Right now the Ravens are the measuring stick for the Eagles in my opinion. This game will show how serious the Eagles are about being contenders or pretenders. I’d be lieing if I said this game don’t make me nervous because it does. On paper the Eagles look like a Super Bowl champion level type of team. But the game is played on turn, not paper. I believe tomorrow is the early test. 2-0 looks much better than 1-1. Let’s get it done offense.
